"Not even water?!" šŸ¤¦šŸ¾ā€ā™€ļø 5 Ways to Support Your Muslim Colleagues this RamadanšŸ•Œ

Ramadan Mubarak to all of our Hustle Crew family who are observing. For any of us who arenā€™t, it makes all the difference to be supportive. Here are some tips:

  1. Donā€™t wait for your colleagues and friends to educate you. Do your own research. This means you donā€™t have to bombard your Muslims co-workers with questions. This thread is a good place to start

  2. Donā€™t let your bias make you assume who should be observing Ramadan. There is no particular way a Muslim should ā€œlookā€. Itā€™s also important not to police your Muslim co-workers who you think ā€œshouldā€ be fasting - remember choosing to fast is a personal choice and there are also exemptions

  3. Discuss with your Muslim co-workers how to help them and raise Ramadan awareness in the workplace

  4. Senior leaders - be flexible with working arrangements and time off for Ramadan. We love the example above

  5. Try and plan annual leave allocations for Eid celebrations, so that you can accommodate as many as possible
