Startup Now Future Founders

Create Jobs and Hustle Crew jointly organized the inaugural year of Future Startup Now Founders.

This is a five-week intensive online training program that was delivered in partnership with Create Jobs and had a goal of creating impactful and successful businesses with the aid of diverse entrepreneurs.

The course is based on a proven curriculum developed by Create Jobs that has already helped over 1,000 people start their businesses. The program was free to apply for, and all applicants had access to free mentoring support from leading entrepreneurs throughout London during its duration.

This unique opportunity helped participants build skills, connect with other entrepreneurs and gain new insights about starting a business.

Candidates for the program were selected because of their creativity and innovation, coming from groups of people who are often marginalized within the industry, such as women, people of color, LGBTQ+, and low socioeconomic backgrounds.

According to British Business Bank's 2019 report, 1% of all capital investment goes to all-female founder teams, and 0.9% of founders are Black, which compares to 84% White (VC firm Atomico's).

Abadesi Osunsade, the founder of Hustle Crew, hosts a launch party funded by the Mayor of London's Digital Talent Programme, attended by talented, driven individuals from various industries, including tech, hospitality, design, and education.

People presenters presented their ideas to a panel of experts, including Natalie Campbell and Belu Water EducationBiden, FutureLearn.

Michael Berhane's report on the state of people of color in the tech industry. Tom Barltrop's last name is Zava.

We want to introduce to you Dama Sathianathan from Bethnal Green Ventures.

The presentations took place over two evenings, with the first evening focused on Health, Education, and Social Impact.

The second evening primarily focused on Media, Technology, and E-commerce. This was said by Bethnal Green Ventures Founder, Dama Sathianathan:

'We were shown pitches from excellent teams with incredible ideas and great ways of delivering tech products to ignored or discriminated against communities!'

The event lasted for an hour and consisted of six short pitches. It was a gruelling yet engaging session.

Audience members were randomly picked to join a 4-person jury tasked with choosing one winner out of all present ventures, both through live voting and through a secret ballot after deliberation. Live voting served as a tiebreaker should jurors be undecided.

The final ten competitors received a £5,000 prize for developing their business and continued assistance.
